The ancient ordination hall (Ubosot) of Wat Nakhon Chum is a historic site dating back over 800 years, constructed between the late Sukhothai and early Ayutthaya periods. The structure is built of brick and mortar, uniquely characterized by the absence of traditional roof finials (Chofa and Bairaka), reflecting a simpler yet durable ancient style. The thick walls feature small rectangular slits for light instead of windows, a distinctive trait of early Ayutthaya architecture. This site was the original home of Luang Phor Phet before the image was relocated to Wat Tha Luang. Today, traces of ancient murals and the original pedestal remain for historical study.
