The Cardinal Bastions
The Cardinal Bastions of Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park. These strategic forts were built during the reign of King Rama IV to protect the royal palace atop Khao Wang. Named after the Four Heavenly Kings (Chatu Lokapala) of Buddhist cosmology, the bastions feature a unique blend of European military architecture and Thai aesthetics, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Phetchaburi.
