Bandai Sing

Bandai Sing, or the Lion Staircase, is one of the five pedestrian ascents leading to the platform of Phra That Cho Hae in Phrae Province. Located on the western side of the temple alongside the main Naga staircase, it is distinguished by having 94 steps, the highest number among all staircases at the temple. The handrails are adorned with lion sculptures (Singha) in accordance with Lanna and Burmese beliefs, symbolizing majesty and the guardianship of the sacred site. This staircase reflects the faith of the local people, providing multiple access points for pilgrims visiting this sacred relic, which is especially significant for those born in the Year of the Tiger.
