Pasak River Basin Museum

Located within the Pasak Jolasid Dam area, this museum serves as a repository for artifacts and information discovered during archaeological excavations prior to the dam's construction. The exhibits are divided into 6 main sections:

  • Section 1: Irrigation in Thailand: Highlights King Rama IX's royal duties concerning water management and the history of Thai irrigation.

  • Section 2: Tracing Civilizations: Displays prehistoric archaeological finds discovered within the reservoir area.

  • Section 3: Local Culture: Features dioramas and models of the traditional lifestyles, houses, and customs of ethnic groups like the "Thai Boeng."

  • Section 4: Natural Resources: Information on local flora, fauna, fish species, and the ecosystem of the basin.

  • Section 5: Watershed Management: Focuses on forest conservation and the importance of headwaters.

  • Section 6: Pasak Today: A multimedia summary utilizing modern light and sound presentations to conclude the journey.
