Ku Kut Pagoda / Suwan Chang Kot Chedi

Ku Kut Pagoda, or Suwan Chang Kot Chedi, is a tiered square-shaped pagoda (Ratana Chedi) built with laterite and brick, showcasing the pinnacle of Hariphunchai art. Legend states it was commissioned by King Anantayot and King Mahantayot, the sons of Queen Chamadevi, to enshrine their mother's relics. The structure features five levels, each with three arches per side, totaling 60 arches that house Buddha images in the "Granting Fearlessness" posture. It is called "Ku Kut" (The Broken Stupa) because the uppermost spire broke off during a past earthquake.
