Wat Phra That Dum

Wat Phra That Dum in Sakon Nakhon Province is renowned for its single-brick temple constructed in the Bapuan style of Khmer architecture (16th century CE), situated on a laterite base. Its most precious artifacts are the surviving carved lintels: the northern lintel depicts Vishnu reclining on the serpent Ananta, and the eastern lintel portrays Indra riding the elephant Erawan. This temple is considered a significant historical site reflecting the influence of ancient Khmer civilization.
