Phra Ajarn Thammachot

Phra Ajarn Thammachot was a legendary monk of the late Ayutthaya period. Originally from Wat Khao Nang Buat in Suphan Buri, he was invited to Wat Pho Kao Ton to serve as the spiritual leader and advisor for the Bang Rachan villagers. Renowned for his expertise in Vipassana meditation and sacred arts, he boosted the morale of the warriors by creating protective amulets, yantra cloths, and performing holy water rituals. His spiritual guidance empowered the villagers to bravely resist invading forces for months. Although history does not clearly record his final days, his legacy of merit and devotion remains a cornerstone of Thai national pride.
