Phra Phuttha Chalerm Siriraj, locally known as the "Standing Buddha of Ban Thi," is a prominent Buddha image in the blessing posture (Varada Mudra) located at Wat Sri Don Chai, Ban Thi District. Constructed in 1995 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary (Golden Jubilee) of King Bhumibol Adulyadej's accession to the throne, the King graciously bestowed the name "Phra Phuttha Chalerm Siriraj". Standing at 29.5 meters, it is the largest and tallest standing Buddha image in Northern Thailand. From an aerial perspective, the radiant golden statue stands majestically amidst the lowlands and rice fields of Ban Thi, symbolizing the flourishing of Buddhism and royal grace protecting the local community.
