Pediments and lintels

The northern pediment of Prasat Phra That Narai Cheng Weng displays exquisite Bapuan-style Khmer art. The sandstone carving in the upper part depicts "Vishnu reclining on the serpent Ananta," while the lintel below depicts "Krishna subduing the serpent Kaliya" amidst delicate swirling floral patterns. This perfectly reflects the ancient beliefs of the Vaishnava sect of Hinduism, dating back over 900 years.
