Phanthai Norasing Shrine

This shrine commemorates the great heroism of Phanthai Norasing, the royal steersman who sacrificed his life to uphold the sanctity of royal law during the reign of King Sanphet VIII (King Suea) at the mouth of Khlong Khok Kham. This traditional Thai wooden shrine, featuring a life-sized statue in a steering posture, serves as a powerful reminder of the integrity that has been rooted in the Thai spirit for centuries. The site houses the original execution pillar and an ancient hopea wood boat over 300 years old, surrounded by tranquil mangroves. It is a significant historical landmark where visitors come to pay respect and find inspiration in his exemplary loyalty.
