Legend and Belief
Originally named Khao Nang Phrachan after local folklore involving Thao Kok Khanak, it was renamed Khao Wong Phrachan in 1953 by Luang Pho Opasi, who noticed the mountain's four sides curved in a circular embrace. It is also believed to be a Test of True Love—couples who successfully climb to the top together are said to enjoy a lasting relationship.
