Wat Kongchai Only two sides of the well were constructed by laterite that is in the west and partly in the south. The principle constructions within the temple consist of 9 rooms vihara situated on the high base that makes it different from other viharns. In Aranyik district, it is assumed from the fragments found in the site that the front part of viharn base was decorted with Makara (dragon). Behind the vihara there are the round bell-shaped chedi on the several layer octagonal bases similar to the principal chedi of Wat Mahathat. The Sangkawat covers the monks' living quarter, sala, bathroom and toilet. This tample is aged around 15th-16th century.
