The "Kombu-tsuka" is a unique stone monument located at Namiyoke Inari Shrine, dedicated to Kombu (kelp). Erected by seaweed merchants, it serves as a place to express gratitude and offer prayers for the souls of the kelp harvested for Japanese cuisine. Adorned with a sacred Shimenawa rope, it reflects the profound spiritual connection between the Tsukiji Market traders and the natural resources that sustain their livelihoods.
