Kyoto Uji TakoQ & Tanaka Kyu Shoten

Kyoto Uji TakoQ (Left)

  • The Look: This is the front-facing corner of the building. It looks like a traditional wooden food stall or a "window" shop. You will see large banners and signs featuring a cartoon octopus (Tako).

  • The Vibe: Energetic and casual. There are usually people standing in line or sitting on the few outdoor benches.

  • The Food: This part is for street food. You can see the chef grilling the "Green Takoyaki" right in front of you. It is designed for quick service and eating while you walk.

Ramen Tanaka Kyu Shoten (Right)

  • The Look: The entrance is located right next to the TakoQ window. It has a more formal restaurant doorway with a "Noren" (fabric curtain).

  • The Vibe: Quiet and cozy. Once you step inside, it is a sit-down restaurant with wooden tables, counter seating, and a traditional Japanese interior.

  • The Food: This part is for full meals. Here, you sit down to eat "Matcha Ramen" and side dishes like "Matcha Gyoza" served on proper plates, away from the busy street crowd.
