Pratu Tha Nang (Tha Nang Gate) is the ancient northeastern gate of the Hariphunchai Kingdom and the only one remaining of the original six city gates. According to local legend, this gate served as a principal pier used by Queen Chamadevi for river travel, hence the name "Tha Nang Cham". Beyond its royal significance, the gate was a bustling center for river trade between Hariphunchai and other cities, including ancient Chinese merchants. The structure is built from laterite and brick, reflecting the orderly and fortified town planning of the shell-shaped ancient city.
