The waterfall is named in honor of Miizumi Jozan, the Buddhist monk who discovered the hot springs and dedicated his life to developing the area. Located inside Jozankei Gensen Park, the waterfall is surrounded by footbaths (ashiyu) and a "hot water pool" where visitors can boil eggs using the natural heat of the spring, making it a central spot for relaxation and local culture.
