BBuilt in 1926, this Neo-Baroque landmark served as the Sapporo Court of Appeal. It is unique for its use of Sapporo soft stone (tuff), a volcanic material from the nearby Ishiyama area. The structure features a symmetrical facade, arched windows, and a central porch with a crest of a goddess. Now a museum and archive, it stands as a Rare Registered Tangible Cultural Property at the western tip of Odori Park.
