The Golden Pagoda of Wat Khao Rup Chang

The Golden Pagoda stands prominently atop the highest point of Wat Khao Rup Chang. It is a bell-shaped stupa in the Lankan style. The highlight of this structure is its restoration with golden glazed tiles covering the entire pagoda from its base to its spire, creating a magnificent reflection in the sunlight that is visible from a distance. The pagoda sits on a spacious, firmly paved platform, surrounded by railings for order and safety given its cliffside location. The base is decorated with niches housing Buddha images in various directions, allowing devotees to perform circumambulation and pay their respects.
