Phra Sri Shasada is a Lord Buddha Statue, 4 sok 1 kub 6 inch width, completely built at the same time as Phra Buddha Chinnaraj and Phra Buddha Chinnasri in 1364. Originally this statute was established in this small vihara in the south of Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat, later was invited by Abbot of Wat Bang Aoy Chang at his Wat. Somdej Chao Phraya Phichaiyat realized the importance and beauty of this Buddha statue, so he invited to establish this statue at Wat Pradoo. Later in the reign of Kring Rama IV, his majesty considered this great importance of this Buddha statue to be deserved to be establish in a royal monastery. Therefore his majesty fist decided to take the Buddha statue to Wat Suthat Thepvaraam (Bangkok) and then moved to Wat Bovonnivet's Grand Viharn (Bangkok).
