Luang Phor Kasem Khemako (born Chao Kasem Na Lampang) was a highly revered Lanna monk known for his strict ascetic practices (Dhutanga) and insight meditation (Vipassana). Born on November 28, 1912, into the Royal House of Thipphyachak, he renounced his noble status and titles to pursue a life of utmost simplicity and detachment from defilements. He spent most of his life residing and meditating at the Sussahn Trailak (Trailak Cemetery). Since his passing on January 15, 1996, his incorruptible body remains enshrined for public veneration, symbolizing his spiritual purity and the "state of tranquility" signified by his Dhamma name, Khemako.
