The Thai So people in Sakon Nakhon province have a distinctive tradition called "So Thang Bang Ritual," a dance involving striking bamboo tubes to appease ancestral spirits and heal the sick. In addition, there is an annual Thai So festival held on the 15th day of the 3rd lunar month to preserve their traditional way of life and beliefs in spirits, ensuring their continuation in the Kusumal community.
