Chedi Rai

The Satellite Pagodas (Chedi Rai) are small pagodas arranged around the main Ubosot as attendants to the principal structure, symbolizing the devotion of their creators. At Wat Chom Khiri Nak Phrot, these pagodas showcase architectural styles from the late Ayutthaya to early Rattanakosin periods, ranging from simple bell-shaped designs to intricate indented corner styles (Yoe Mum Mai Sip Song). They are often adorned with Stucco Work featuring floral and Kanok motifs, standing on sturdy Lotus Bases. Although some remain as ancient brick ruins, they clearly reflect the sacred site’s layout and the traditional craftsmanship of the past.
