King Narai the Great Monument

This monument stands at the heart of Thep Satri Circle, featuring a standing statue of King Narai facing east. It was erected to honor his remarkable contributions, particularly for establishing Lopburi as the second capital during the Ayutthaya period. Each year on February 16th, his birthday, a grand royal ceremony is held to pay tribute to him. This site is also the focal point of the annual King Narai Reign Fair, where the entire city dons traditional Thai attire. The pedestal is inscribed with his royal biography, celebrating him as a visionary monarch who brought prosperity to Siam.
