Structura Design of the Nan River Bridge

The bridge in front of Wat Ngiu Rai is a standard 2-lane reinforced concrete (RC) bridge with narrow pedestrian walkways on both sides. The superstructure consists of concrete I-girders with wide spans to minimize the number of piers in the river, facilitating the natural flow of the Nan River and reducing obstructions during the flood season. The substructure comprises concrete piers on deep pile foundations driven into the clay layers of the river basin, providing the necessary stability to support the heavy vehicles transporting agricultural products from surrounding subdistricts.
