Wax Castle Festival
The spacious area surrounding Phra That Choeng Chum hosts the "Wax Castle Festival" during the end of Buddhist Lent. Villagers parade intricately carved beeswax castles as offerings to Buddha. Furthermore, there are candlelit processions on important religious days and traditional dances in homage to the pagoda, reflecting the ancient faith of the people of Sakon Nakhon.
