The Shin-Yamabiko Bridge is a Steel Truss Arch Bridge. The Arch: The main curved structure that transfers the weight of the train to the solid rock foundations on either side. Vertical Spandrels: The smaller vertical steel posts that sit on the arch to support the flat railway track above.
