The message sign explains that the Namiyoke Inari main hall enshrines Uganomitama-no-Mikoto, the protector against waves. Built in 1937 using domestic cypress, it shares the architectural style of the Ise Grand Shrine. Legend says giant Lions silenced the Dragon (clouds) and Tiger (wind) to calm the ocean. Today, these carved figures represent protection against life's hardships. Visitors can view the historic 1848 lion heads and the 2012 dragon and tiger carvings through newly installed glass doors.
