Kappa Daiō
"Kappa Daio" represents a legendary water spirit of Jozankei. Local folklore tells of a boy who vanished into the river, later appearing in dreams to say he lived happily with Kappas. This led the town to adopt the creature as a guardian and official mascot of the area.
