Omikuji: Fortune Paper Ties
These white rolled papers are "Omikuji" (sacred fortunes). After fishing for their fortune, visitors tie the paper here. Tying it at the shrine signifies leaving bad luck behind or asking the deities to help make a good fortune come true.
