The Jikeido Hall serves as the main hall of Kita-in Temple and the spiritual heart of the complex. It is dedicated to Jikei Daishi (also known as Ganzan Daishi), a legendary 10th-century priest revered as a powerful "Exorcising Master" capable of warding off evil spirits.
Inside the hall, Jikei Daishi is enshrined as the central figure, flanked by the fierce protective deity Fudo Myoo. The atmosphere is deeply sacred, filled with the scent of incense and the sound of chanting. This hall is also famous as the birthplace of Omikuji (fortune-telling slips), a tradition started by Jikei Daishi that remains a popular custom for visitors seeking divine guidance today.
