A 500 JPY entrance fee grants access to the Hill of Buddha, a masterpiece designed by Tadao Ando. This sacred journey leads through a serene water garden and a dim 40-meter concrete tunnel, eventually revealing the monumental Great Buddha statue, framed by a halo of seasonal lavender or winter snow.
