How to Pray

To pray at the Hill of Buddha, follow these respectful steps:

  1. Purify: Wash your hands at the Temizu-ya (water basin) before entering.

  2. The Approach: Walk through the water garden and the 40-meter concrete tunnel to reach the statue.

  3. Offerings: You can light incense or a candle (available for a small fee) and place a coin in the offering box.

  4. The Prayer: Stand before the Buddha, bow slightly, and place your hands together in the Gassho (prayer) pose. Do not clap.
