Pai Tam Natural Bird Park is a distinctive eco-tourism destination located in Nong Khae District, Saraburi Province. The site originated from the rich bamboo forest within a local residence, known as the home of Uncle Tom Mueanmaen, which has served as a natural sanctuary for various bird species for several decades. Over time, the area has evolved into an ecological learning site that clearly reflects the harmonious relationship between humans and wildlife.

The most outstanding feature of the bird park is the diversity of bird species, with egrets being the most abundant. Other species commonly found include herons, little cormorants, storks, and black mynas, totaling more than 17 species living naturally in the area. Visitors can closely observe natural bird behaviors such as nest building, egg laying, and chick rearing atop bamboo clusters, making it a rare nature experience near Bangkok.

The surrounding atmosphere is shaded by lush green bamboo groves and remains cool and refreshing throughout the day. How to Get There

Private Car:

From Bangkok, take Phahonyothin Road towards Saraburi. At KM 83-84, look for the entrance to Wat Phai Tam on the left. Turn into the lane for about 800m to the irrigation canal, then turn left along the canal for 150m.

Public Transport:

Take a Bangkok-Saraburi van to Nong Khae (near KM 83) and use a local taxi to reach Uncle Tom's house at the sanctuary.

Travel Tips

The most beautiful time is from 17:00 to 18:30 when thousands of birds fly back to gather in the bamboo forest.
Please remain quiet, avoid loud noises, and do not throw anything into the birds' habitat.
Bringing binoculars or a zoom lens is recommended to see bird details clearly from a distance.
Since it is in a residential area, please park orderly and respect the privacy of the property owners.
