Ko Ngai is one of the most beautiful islands located along the boundary between the Trang Sea and the Krabi Sea. Parts of the island fall under the protection of Mu Ko Lanta National Park, helping preserve its natural beauty and maintain a well-conserved ecosystem. The island’s most distinctive feature is the eastern beach, stretching approximately 2 kilometers, where numerous resorts, accommodations, and restaurants are located. The beach is covered with fine, powder-soft white sand that, when paired with the clear turquoise water, creates scenery so stunning it resembles a painting. It is perfect for relaxing, sunbathing, and safe swimming, especially during the tourism season when the waves are calm.

What makes Ko Ngai particularly famous is the richness of its shallow coral reefs located just off the beach, especially toward the southeast. These reefs are filled with colorful corals and various species of marine fish, making the area ideal for snorkeling—suitable for both beginners and experienced swimmers alike. Visitors can rent snorkeling equipment from the island’s resorts or join the popular Trang 4-Island Tour, which typically includes Ko Ngai as one of the main stops.

At the southern tip of the island lies Laem Kuan Yin, a scenic viewpoint especially breathtaking during sunset. As the sun descends, the sky turns into a warm orange glow reflected upon the calm sea, creating one of the island’s most photogenic sights. • Private Car: From Pak Meng Pier in Trang Province, travelers can take either a ferry boat or a speedboat to Ko Ngai. Travel time ranges from 15–60 minutes depending on the type of boat.

• Trang 4-Island Tour: You may purchase a one-day tour or a tour with an overnight stay. Simply inform the operator that you wish to be dropped off at Ko Ngai.

• From Ko Lanta, Krabi Province: Ferry boats and speedboats are available during the tourism season.

• The best time to visit is from November to May.

• Parts of Ko Ngai fall within Mu Ko Lanta National Park, which typically closes between May 16 – November 15 each year for ecological restoration and due to monsoon conditions.

• The island has resorts and restaurants, but no local village or convenience stores.
