Sra Kaphang Surin is a natural water source that has been part of Trang province since ancient times. It holds significance in terms of history, culture, and daily life of the local people. The park was developed into a large public park for the community during the tenure of Phraya Ratsadanupradit Mahisornpakdi, the former governor of Trang. The area was designed as a place for relaxation and a community activity center.

The name "Kaphang Surin" carries a legend about the pond’s depth and vast size, making it a distinctive feature of the area. The surroundings of the pond are filled with various trees, creating a shady and relaxing atmosphere.

The park features a jogging track and walkways around the pond that extend for several hundred meters, popular for exercise in the early morning and evening. In the middle of the pond, there is a suspension bridge leading to a small island, which serves as both a scenic viewpoint and a beautiful photo spot. This makes Sra Kaphang Surin ideal for relaxation and recreational activities.

Moreover, the park is a venue for festivals and major events, such as the Loy Krathong festival. During festival periods, the pond is decorated with lights, making it not just a public park but also a hub of community life in Trang city.

• By private car: Located in Mueang District, slightly north of the Phraya Ratsadanupradit Monument

• By public transport: Tuk-tuks or motorcycle taxis are available in the city; inform the driver that your destination is “Sra Kaphang Surin Public Park,” and they can take you directly to the park entrance

• Early morning (06:00–08:00) and late afternoon (16:30–18:00) are the best times for exercise and relaxation.

• Suitable for family picnics or group activities.
