Yao Beach Kantang is one of the most well-known beaches in Trang Province. With its coastline stretching over 5 kilometers, it clearly lives up to its name, “Long Beach.” Its most distinctive features are its tranquility and its especially shady atmosphere, thanks to the long line of casuarina trees planted along the shore — unlike other beaches that are often more exposed. This makes Hat Yao a favorite spot among locals and travelers who prefer a peaceful, less crowded beach experience.

In addition to being a scenic destination, Hat Yao also serves an important role as a pier, particularly at the far end of the beach where long-tail boats depart for Ko Libong and nearby islands. How to Get There

• By Private Car: From Trang City, the drive takes about 40–50 minutes via the Trang–Kantang road. Once you reach Kantang District, follow the signs leading to Hat Yao. The beach is not far from the district office.

• By Public Transport: Take a minivan or songthaew from Trang City to Kantang District. From there, hire a motorcycle taxi or tuk-tuk to continue directly to Hat Yao.
