“Famous for the EmeraldCave, an Unseen Thailand attraction where visitors must swim inside to witness the hidden beach and emerald-green seawater within the cave.”
Koh Muk is the third-largest island in the Trang Sea, featuring limestone mountains and steep cliffs, while still offering beautiful beaches and clear seawater. The island has a strong local community, with the Koh Muk Village, a native fishing community, promoting eco-friendly tourism.
The most significant highlight is the EmeraldCave (Tham Morakot), known as a gateway to another world. Visiting the cave requires swimming through an 80-meter dark and winding tunnel, accessible only when the tide is low. Upon exiting the tunnel, visitors will find a large chamber with an open skylight above. The beach inside is powdery white, surrounded by towering limestone cliffs. When sunlight enters the chamber, it creates a stunning emerald-green glow, true to the cave’s name.
Besides the Emerald Cave, Koh Muk also features notable beaches such as FarangBeach (Charlie Beach), known for its beauty, accommodations, and beachfront restaurants. Other attractions include Hua Laem Bay and Pangka Bay, home to seagrass fields and shallow coral reefs ideal for snorkeling.
