“Walk on Crystal Sand, the pure white and uniquely soft sand, while admiring the mirror-clear seawater on the longest stretch of coastline in Khlong Yai District.”
Ban Chuen Beach is a gemstone of the Eastern sea, located in Mai Rut Subdistrict, Khlong Yai District, Trat Province. The standout feature that has made this beach famous nationwide is its pure white and exceptionally soft sand, nicknamed Crystal Sand which is rare for a mainland beach. The sand here is special because it feels as soft as powder when touched and is remarkably clean due to its distance from heavy industry and crowded communities. The landscape of Ban Chuen Beach is embraced by clear seawater that changes colors according to depth, ranging from emerald green to deep indigo, impressing visitors at first sight. The beach spans several kilometers, offering a spacious feel and great privacy for relaxing amidst untouched nature.
The architectural features and facilities at Ban Chuen Beach are appropriately organized, featuring resting pavilions and rows of pine trees that provide shade along the shore. It is perfect for laying out a mat to relax in the sea breeze or having a snack with family. The water in this area has a gentle slope and consistent depth, making it a safe space for both children and adults to swim. Beyond the beach's beauty, Ban Chuen Beach is a magnificent viewpoint during dawn and dusk. The golden light of the setting sun hitting the white sand creates a romantic and quiet atmosphere. Its tranquility attracts tourists seeking an escape from large commercial sites to fully absorb the energy of nature and the simplicity of the sea.
For photography enthusiasts, Ban Chuen Beach offers striking compositions with a horizon that stretches as far as the eye can see, contrasting the white sand and the blue sea. The fine crystal sand also serves as an excellent natural prop for lifestyle or portrait photography. Furthermore, this beach is a popular destination for health-conscious groups and artists seeking a quiet space for yoga, meditation, or landscape painting. The beachfront features resorts that harmonize with nature and fresh seafood restaurants from local fisheries serving authentic Trat flavors. Visiting Ban Chuen Beach is more than just seeing the sea; it is about experiencing the craftsmanship of nature that created one of the most beautiful sands in Thailand.
In terms of conservation, the Mai Rut community and local authorities strictly emphasize cleanliness, ensuring Ban Chuen Beach maintains its Grade A status with excellent water and sand quality. The management around the beach organizes shops to prevent them from obstructing the main scenery, allowing visitors to enjoy both convenience and unadulterated nature.
