Pha Charoen Waterfall is a limestone waterfall formed by Pha Charoen Stream, gently flowing over a wide limestone cliff into the lower basin with remarkable natural harmony.

The Wonder of 97 Tiers: Water flows over dozens of small limestone steps stacked neatly together, totaling 97 tiers. This creates a long, milky-white cascade resembling a soft water curtain. The limestone surface also makes the area less slippery than shale-based waterfalls.

Orange Siam Tulip Field: From July to September, the forest surrounding the waterfall is filled with vibrant orange Siam tulips (Curcuma species). This rare color variety sets Pha Charoen apart and makes Phop Phra District a popular rainy-season destination.

Visitor-Friendly Environment: The waterfall is only a few hundred meters from the parking area. The surroundings are landscaped as a small park with short, easy nature trails. Camping areas and park accommodations are available for visitors wishing to enjoy the cool climate throughout the year.

By Private Car:

• From Mae Sot, take Highway No. 1090 (Mae Sot–Umphang route) toward Phop Phra District. The national park is located at Kilometer 37 on the left side of the road. The paved entrance allows easy access for all types of vehicles.

• Combo Trip: Consider stopping at Thanarak Waterfall (Km. 26) along the same route before reaching Pha Charoen Waterfall.

• Preparation: During the rainy season, bring an umbrella or raincoat, as humidity is high and rainfall is frequent.

• Recommended Activities: Ideal for family picnics (please take all trash with you) and waterfall photography using a tripod for smooth, flowing water effects.
