“A large limestone cave with 13 chambers, filled with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites, such as the "Lingzhi Mushroom Room" and "Phet Phiman Room". The tour takes about 3 hours to explore.”

Tham Mae Usa, also known as Tho Hua Doi, is a limestone cave with narrow passages, requiring visitors to crawl through one by one before reaching the larger cave opening. Once inside, visitors will find cool and beautiful surroundings hidden within the cave. A local guide is required for safety and to provide interesting geological information about the cave.

Inside the cave, there are 13 interconnected chambers, each with unique and striking formations:

  • Cave Entrance: The first room you enter, with a narrow passage. After passing the entrance, you will encounter a cool and beautiful atmosphere inside.

  • Crystal Curtain Room: A chamber with stunning stalactites resembling a curtain, adorned with sparkling calcite crystals that shimmer when lit up. This is one of the cave’s most beautiful spots.

  • Bat Room: Home to millions of bats, with the walls of the cave covered by resting bats.

  • Cabbage Crystal Room: Stalagmites here are shaped like cabbage, clean and clear, with a glass-like appearance, about 3 meters wide.

  • Large Stalagmite Room: The room with the largest stalagmites in the cave, displaying a variety of smooth and complex formations.

  • Golden Pagoda Room: Stalagmites in this room resemble golden pagodas that reflect light like gold.

  • Diamond City Room: This chamber has stalactites resembling diamonds from multiple angles, creating the illusion of a city filled with diamonds.

  • Large Limestone Room: A vast room, as large as a football field, with beautifully shaped stalactites and stalagmites.

  • Falling Star Room: Named after a stalactite that has fallen from the ceiling, resembling a star falling from the sky.

  • Moonlight Stalagmite Room: Stalagmites in this room shimmer like moonlight when the light hits them in the dark.

  • Plant-Like Stone Room: Stalagmites here resemble trees or plants growing from the stone.

Geological Information
Tham Mae Usa was formed through complex geological processes. The stalactites and stalagmites in the cave are created by the accumulation of minerals from dripping water, forming over thousands of years into beautiful limestone formations.

Wildlife and Plant Life in the Cave
Inside Tham Mae Usa, there are millions of bats that live in the cave. These bats play an important role in the cave's ecosystem by helping control insect populations. The cave is also home to small insects and species that thrive in the damp and dark environment.
