“Mae Usa cave is a large cave which was open for ecotourism about 10 years ago. A roughly 870 steps, 500 meters stair leading upward was constructed. ”

Visitors have to walk through Mae Usu stea to reach the cave. In the rainy season, the cave becomes inaccessible because the water level in the team is too high. The inside of the cave is spacious and airy. It also has a high ceiling and numerous exotic stalactites and stalagmite formations. The cave consists of 13 rooms which connect to one another and are residents to about a million bats. Normally, fully exploring the cave takes 3 hours.

A large hole can be found on the western wall of the cave. In the afternoon, a ray of sunlight will beautifully shine through the hole like a spotlight. This makes an impression of a scene from an underworld theater and visitors can climb up to the stone cavity for enhanced scenario. In addition, if visitors take a look at the entrance after walking inside for a certain distance, they will see a beautiful sight of the steam running from the dark part of the cave to the light outside with the green grass field as the background.
