“The stupa (Phaya Long) sits on a massive boulder that seems to be about to fall but remains miraculously stable. It is called "Thailand’s Golden Rock." Climbing the 800 steps leads to a beautiful viewpoint of the Mae Moei border.”

Phra That Doi Hin Kiw (Phra That Hin Kiw at Doi Din Chi) is located in Ban Wang Takian, Tambon Tha Sai Luat, Mae Sot District, Tak Province. The stupa, known locally as "Phaya Long," is a small Mon-style pagoda situated on a large boulder. The journey to the temple follows the same route as Khorak Chang Pueak, passing through villages like Tha Aat and Wang Takian. A right turn at a resting pavilion will direct you to the site, about 3 kilometers away.

The Phra That Doi Hin Kiw is a natural wonder: a giant boulder precariously placed on a cliff that seems to be on the verge of falling. Despite this, the boulder remains standing, and a small Mon-style stupa has been built on it. This stunning phenomenon is considered sacred by the locals and revered throughout Tak province. Each year, in February, a festival takes place to worship Phra That Doi Hin Kiw, where the boulder is affectionately called the "Golden Rock of Thailand." Visitors come from all around to pray, seek blessings, and participate in the ceremonies.

From the stupa, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding area, including a clear view of Myanmar, making it a beautiful and serene spot for both spiritual reflection and scenic photography.
