“Phra Pathom Chedi Subdistrict, Mueang Nakhon Pathom District, Nakhon Pathom Province 73000”

Ganesha Shrine  is located on the eastern side of Phra Pathom Chedi, a major Buddhist center and important historical site in Nakhon Pathom Province. This area reflects a harmonious blend of Buddhist and Hindu beliefs, particularly through the presence of Lord Ganesha, the deity of wisdom, arts, success, and obstacle removal.

The Ganesha statue enshrined here is a metal cast image of the deity seated in a majestic posture, symbolizing stability and the power of new beginnings. According to devotees’ beliefs, Lord Ganesha helps clear the path in life, especially in education, career, business, arts, and creativity. This makes the shrine popular among students, artists, and entrepreneurs.

Historically, it is believed that the shrine was established during the reign of King Rama VI to bring prosperity and auspiciousness to Nakhon Pathom and the Sanam Chandra Palace area. It also reflects the integration of Indian-Brahmanic cultural influences with Thai Buddhist sacred space.

The surrounding atmosphere is peaceful and shaded with large trees and open space, allowing visitors to pray and meditate in tranquility. With the majestic Phra Pathom Chedi as its backdrop, the site enhances the spiritual atmosphere and emotional strength of worshippers.

Besides paying respect at the shrine, visitors often walk clockwise around Phra Pathom Chedi to enhance good fortune and success according to local beliefs. As a result, this place is not only a sacred site but also a cultural link between faith, history, and the way of life of the people of Nakhon Pathom.
