Ouchy is a popular lakeside port city, located south of Lausanne in Switzerland beside the Lake Léman (Lake Geneva).

With plenty of tourists, Ouchy is also a favorite area for rollerskating (Lausanne is considered a capital) and for skateboarding. The incredible views of the lake and the Alps, and the cooler air in summer have made Ouchy a popular place especially in the summer months.

There is a major cluster of hotels – the Beau-Rivage Palace, the Château d'Ouchy, the Mövenpick hotel. Which I hardly recommend due to the high price.

The headquarters of the International Olympic Committee are located at Vidy (to the west of Ouchy). The Olympic Museum and the Olympic Park (sculpture garden between the museum and the lake) are located at Ouchy.

How to get here:

by cruise:

There is scheduled trip from/to Montreux and Vevey to Ouchy (Lausanne), passing Lavaus Vineryard Terraces (Unesco).

by train:

From main train station, you may get to the south direction by Lausanne Metro Line 2 from Ouchy station.

At Ouchy port, we may take to Montreux or Vevey on the specific time table. Traveling with Swiss Pass, it is free of charge.

From the main train station, I myself got to Ouchy by Metro. Check the sign board or note that you have to get to the south direction.
