Klong Jark Beach is situated on the southwestern coast of Koh Lanta Yai in Krabi Province. Geographically, the beach forms a stunning 500-meter crescent-shaped bay. Its name, "Klong Jark," is derived from the "Jark Canal," a small freshwater stream that flows from the island’s lush tropical rainforest, passes through a minor mangrove patch, and eventually meets the Andaman Sea at this very location. Renowned as one of the island's most pristine stretches of coastline, its distance from the main tourist hubs to the north—such as Klong Dao or Long Beach—ensures a higher level of tranquility and seclusion.

The defining characteristic of Klong Jark Beach is its exceptionally fine, powdery white sand that contrasts beautifully against the vibrant turquoise waters. The seabed is primarily soft sand with minimal rocky outcrops, and the gentle slope of the shoreline results in shallow waters that are safe and ideal for swimming. During low tide, the beach expands significantly, revealing intricate sand ripples and exposing rocky formations at both ends of the bay, which serve as natural habitats for ghost crabs and various small marine organisms.

The surrounding environment remains ecologically rich, lined with coastal pines and swaying coconut palms that provide ample natural shade along the beach. Furthermore, the area serves as a gateway to Koh Lanta’s inland natural wonders; a nearby trail leads through the jungle to the "Klong Jark Waterfall" and the "Bat Cave", making it a key destination for eco-tourism. Unlike the more developed areas of the island, Klong Jark Beach remains free from large-scale commercial obstructions, offering an unobstructed view of the horizon. In the evening, it provides one of the most spectacular and private sunset experiences, allowing visitors to connect deeply with the authentic natural beauty of Krabi.

• From Saladan Pier, drive south along the main road of Koh Lanta Yai for approximately 20 kilometers. After passing Bakantiang Bay, look for the Klong Jark Beach entrance sign on the right-hand side.

• Carry insect repellent if you plan to trek to the Klong Jark Waterfall.

• Wear strapped sandals or water shoes for safety when walking on rocky areas.

• The best time for photography is during high tide when the water is crystal clear.

• Please keep the beach clean and always take your trash back with you.

• Check the tide tables before hiking to the waterfall as some paths may be difficult.
