“Koh Tao's most beautiful sunset viewpoint with signature leaning coconut trees. A hub for shops, diving schools, and nightly beachfront fire shows.”
Sairee Beach is Koh Tao's most lively and popular beach, covering almost the entire western coastline of the island. With a length of over 1.7 kilometers, it is truly a center for both tourism and lifestyle.
In terms of facilities, Sairee Beach is a hub of convenience, complete with a variety of accommodations, internationally recognized diving schools (PADI / SSI), restaurants, cafes, beach bars, and shops. Tourists can conveniently book diving trips to Koh Nang Yuan or boat trips around the island from this area.
Daytime activities are suitable for both relaxation and active travelers. The sea conditions with shallow water, calm waves, and some coral reefs near the shore make it ideal for swimming, kayaking, Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP), or basic snorkeling. There are also rental services for water sports equipment, beach chairs, and beachfront yoga classes available in certain seasons.
For tourists seeking a more personal experience, it is recommended to explore the northern end of the beach, which is more peaceful, perfect for relaxation, photography, and escaping the crowds. The central area of the beach is bustling with restaurants and bars.
Evening is the highlight of Sairee Beach, especially watching the sunset (Sunset Viewpoint), where the sun can be clearly seen setting over the sea. The sky turns shades of orange, pink, and gold, perfect for photography and beachfront dining.
As night falls, the atmosphere transforms into an international buzz, with live music and various beach bars hosting events. A key highlight is the fire show, which usually starts around 7:00 PM onwards. Tourists can sit back, relax, and enjoy a meal or drink while watching.
Sairee Beach is not just an ordinary beach but a center of Koh Tao experiences that combines beauty, activities, and lifestyle in one place.
