“A tranquil local beach with a landmark family of five dugong statues, a seaside park, and scenic rock breakwaters forming curved bays—perfect for sunset viewing.”

Nam Rin Beach is a small yet charming coastal destination in Ban Chang, Rayong, located near the border of Sattahip and close to U-Tapao Airport. The beach is known for its soft light-colored sand, shaded pine trees, and a calm, local atmosphere that makes it ideal for a quiet seaside escape.

Its most iconic feature is the “Dugong Family” sculpture—five statues set on rocky outcrops at one end of the beach. This landmark reflects the area’s natural heritage and has become a popular photo spot, especially during sunset when the golden light enhances the coastal scenery. The beach is also lined with stone breakwaters designed to prevent erosion, creating curved, lagoon-like sections with relatively calm waters suitable for swimming.

Another highlight is the adjacent seaside park, which offers green open spaces, walking paths, and seating areas. This adds to the beach’s appeal for families and visitors looking to relax, exercise, or enjoy a picnic by the sea in a more landscaped environment.

Although Nam Rin Beach is located not far from the Map Ta Phut industrial zone, the water remains relatively clear—especially during the dry season (November to April). The area still preserves a sense of local fishing village life, making it an excellent destination for those seeking a peaceful atmosphere, scenic photography, or a quiet sunset experience. Nearby beaches such as Phayun Beach and Phala Beach can also be visited in the same trip.
