“Wat Khot Thim Tharam See the old church Worship Reverend Father Khao in Rayong”
Wat Khot Thim Tharam live in Rayong more than 500 years ago. Informed that this temple was built since the year B.E. 2007 Early Ayutthaya period Coinciding with the reign of King Borommatrailokkanat (B.E. 2031) but an elderly monk said The Fine Arts Department informed that Wat Khot was built in 1570 during the reign of King Naresuan the Great.Must be rebuilt when it arrived in 1975 (completed in 1985).
Inside Wat Khot (Timtharam), there are mural paintings in ancient and precious colors in the old ubosot.The murals in the old Wat Kot temple are probably the work of local painters. Written in the late Ayutthaya period or the early Rattanakosin period, it is a depiction of the Jataka on the outer wall in front of the eastern ubosot.
Old painting book It is another valuable artistic property of Wat Khot. It looks like a Koi notebook or an ancient Thai notebook. Inside, there are 7 books of drawings of the Buddha, Nang, and Giant monkeys, 2 books of paintings from the Ayutthaya period and 5 books from the Rattanakosin period, believed to be picture books on dramatic art, Khon, drama and dance.
Luang Pho Khao is a statue of Buddha in the Subduing Mara posture, seated cross-legged, 2.40 meters (95 inches) wide across the lap, 3.15 meters (123 inches) high from the top of the Buddha image.The total age is about 540 years) where Luang Pho Khao may be the principal image of the northern viharn of the Ubosot.
