Kud Nam Kin Public Park is a city-center public park in Kalasin Province, Thailand, with strong importance in environmental, recreational, and cultural aspects. It features a large natural water body that has been developed into a public green space for people of all ages.The park covers approximately 26 rai of land, consisting of around 20 rai of water surface and 6 rai of surrounding park area. The word “Kud” in the Isan dialect refers to a natural pond or wetland formed in low-lying areas. Kud Nam Kin is considered an important cultural and historical water source of Kalasin Province, used in sacred water drawing ceremonies, especially during royal-related rituals. This gives the site significance beyond a typical public park, as it is also recognized as a sacred provincial water source.In terms of urban development, the municipality has transformed the area into a modern public park that supports a wide range of activities.
