“An agro-tourism destination that combines relaxation, learning experiences, photography spots, and local products all in one place.”
Nai Dam Garden was founded by Mr. Dam Chingsuwanroj, and it has become one of the most successful agro-tourism attractions in Chumphon Province. It originally began as a Shogun orange orchard with other seasonal fruit crops, managed under an efficient mixed-agriculture system.
What truly propelled Nai Dam Garden to national recognition is the iconic “Strange Toilet City,” a creative collection of uniquely designed toilets inspired by Thai sayings, local wisdom, beliefs, and humorous interpretations. Some noteworthy examples include:
-
Tunnel Toilet
-
Tarzan Toilet
-
Tank Toilet
-
Khun Thongkon Toilet
-
Toilets made from recycled materials
Each toilet is designed with a story and symbolic meaning, making them fun photo spots for visitors. This attraction once earned the award for “Best Toilet of the Year.”
Beyond its creative toilet designs, Nai Dam Garden also serves as a major rest stop along Asian Highway 41 for long-distance travelers. The area offers a wide range of facilities, including:
-
Local restaurants
-
A fresh coffee shop featuring civet coffee
-
Seasonal fruit stalls
-
A marketplace offering OTOP products and local souvenirs (including Shogun orange juice, dried bananas, and fruit products)
-
Clean and free public restrooms
-
A spacious parking lot
Freshly squeezed Shogun orange juice is one of the must-try items here, along with their banana products and other seasonal fruits. As a result, Nai Dam Garden has become a perfect one-stop destination for relaxation, sightseeing, restroom use, and souvenir shopping.
