“This shrine stands out because it is built on a large replica of the Chakri Naruebessorn warship along the seaside, serving as a spiritual center for local fishermen and offering a beautiful viewpoint of the Lang Suan estuary.”
Prince of Chumphon Shrine Lang Suan, is located near Laem Son Beach and is a sacred site highly respected by locals and visitors from across Thailand. It honors Admiral Phra Chao Borom Wong Ther Phra Ong Chao Aphakorn Kiatiwong, Prince of Chumphon (commonly known as “Sadet Tia”), who is celebrated as the father of the Royal Thai Navy.
The main highlight of the shrine is the main hall built on a large replica of the Chakri Naruebessorn warship along the sea. The replica closely matches the original ship in size and is intricately decorated. Inside, there is a statue of Sadet Tia for worship, where visitors can offer red roses, incense, candles, and garlands.
The surrounding area is landscaped with shady greenery and includes a viewing platform and seaside walkway. Visitors often come to pray, take photos with the ship, and watch the sunset over the Gulf of Thailand, which is especially stunning when the sunlight reflects on the water and the ship.
The Prince of Chumphon Shrine Lang Suan is both a sacred place for worship and a tourist spot that reflects the bond between local fishermen and Sadet Tia.
